Pirates confirm destiny with Celtic

In a mouthwatering two legged affair of the MTN 8 semi final, December 12 has been set aside as
the date Siwelele sa Masele will lock horns with Amabakabaka for the coverted “WafaWafa”
trophy. The duo swept aside Kaitano Tembo’s SuperSport United and Gavin Hunt’s Kaizer Chiefs
respectively.
In Saturday’s encounter Bloemfontein Celtic carried through their slim advantage when they won
their tightly contested match against Matsatsantsa by a solitary goal at the Petrus Molemela
Stadium; bringing the aggregate score to 2-1.
On the contrary, Orlando Pirates made light work of Amakhosi in what most had dubbed “dead
rubber”. They practically bulldozed the Phefeni Boys in the 1st leg when they beat them 3-0. An
almost similar feat befell Chiefs in the 2nd leg at FNB Stadium when Daniel Akpeyi had to pick the
ball from the back of his net twice, with their attacker continuing to shoot blanks. That meant that
the aggregate score was 5-0.
