“John Vul’igate” is the soundtrack of the week at the City of Roses as Maduka’s charges head to
their second cup final in as many attempts. Unfortunately for the Bloemfontein team ,they fell at the
last hurdle in the Nedbank Cup final, when Mamelodi Sundowns’ Gaston Sirino’s solitary goal
made sure they came second-best.
After booking their ticket to the finals the head-coach will be hoping that the experience his
charges have garnered will propel them to victory this time around. The venue of the finals is still
yet to be decided by the league. But what Maduka will be keenly looking forward to is playing the
match in the Platinum province, where he won the same cup (previously known as the SAA Supa 8)
as captain of Celtic in 2005, under the tutelage of Paul Dolezar.
“Anything can happen in a cup final… we have learnt from the last one so we think that this time it
will be a different story”
