on the bench over being in his native land as they ran rings around Kaizer Chiefs in the return leg.
As expected they gave Chiefs a chunk of the ball possession in the first half without really allowing
them space to be productive. With that, it gave them an opportunity to expose Amakhosi on the
counter attack. The coach conceded this to be part of their game plan in the post match interview.
“ Yes we had a good result from the first leg, but we knew the quality from Chiefs. I asked my
players to wait for the right moments.”
What helped Josef’s game plan as well on the day, was Deon being in red “Hotto” form. The
Speedy Winger reduced Yagan Sasman to a mere E-toll gantry when he put the ball through his legs
at will and all the defender could do was to take register of Deon’s jersey number… every single
time.
Fans are still not allowed at the stadium, but with the finals being a month away anything is
possible. Hopefully both sets of passionate fans will be allowed to watch their favourite teams battle
it out.
